Effective Date: November 10, 2025 Last Updated: May 17, 2026 Company: Island AI Limited License No.: 07101832 Registered Address: Office A, Innovation Business Centre, RAK BANK ROC Office, Ground Floor, Al Riffa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This Cookie Policy explains how Island AI uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, including localStorage and IndexedDB. It also explains how you can manage your preferences. This policy is intended to align with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, and related guidance issued by the UAE Data Office. 1. What Are Cookies Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, such as your preferences, sign-in state, security checks, and usage patterns.

  •

Island AI may also use similar browser storage technologies, such as localStorage and IndexedDB, to support secure sign-in, product preferences, and app functionality.    2. How We Use Cookies and Browser Storage  Island AI uses cookies and browser storage to:

  • Enable essential site functionality, including logins, private account features, forms, and security.
  • Keep signed-in users connected to secure areas of the platform.
  • Remember product preferences such as selected island, language, map view, dashboard filters, and dismissed onboarding messages.
  • Analyze website and product usage, only where analytics consent has been given.
  • Improve platform performance, recommendations, and user experience.
  • Support security and abuse-prevention checks, including Firebase Authentication, Google App Check, and reCAPTCHA.

We do not sell personal data to third parties. 3. Cookie and Storage Categories Necessary Necessary cookies and storage are required for the website and private app features to work. These cannot be disabled through Island AI’s cookie preferences. Without them, you may not be able to sign in, use private features, or keep your session secure. Examples include: ivs_cookie_consent, plus a localStorage mirror with the same name, stores your cookie consent decision. __Host-ivs_session in production, or ivs_session in development, is an HttpOnly authentication session cookie. It keeps signed-in users connected to secure and private app features. It is not readable by JavaScript, is not controlled by “Reject non-essential,” and lasts for about 14 days. ivs_session_meta is a readable companion cookie containing only a version, issued-at time, and expiry time. It does not contain your user ID, email, role, or identity claims. Firebase Authentication uses IndexedDB and localStorage to restore your client-side sign-in state, including Google sign-in flows. Google App Check and reCAPTCHA may use cookies or browser storage for security and abuse-prevention checks. When you are signed in, island:lastSeenAt:<uid> may be stored locally to avoid sending account activity updates too often. Preferences Preference storage is optional and helps us remember product choices and interface settings. Examples may include selected island, map view, page-builder viewport, dashboard filters, pending endorsement intent, dismissed spotlights, onboarding tips, or similar product settings. Examples include:

  • map-storage
  • island-storage
  • page-builder-editor-viewport
  • spotlight.dismissed.v1

Some existing preference storage may be written by a feature when you use it. You can manage your choices through Island AI’s cookie preferences and can also clear this storage in your browser settings. Analytics Analytics cookies are optional. Island AI uses Google Analytics to understand which pages and features are useful and to improve the product. Google Analytics is not loaded until you opt in to analytics. If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics script should not load. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Analytics data may be used in aggregated form to understand product performance and improve the Island AI experience. Marketing Marketing cookies are optional and reserved for future use. Island AI does not currently load marketing or advertising vendors. If we add marketing or advertising tools in the future, they will be listed here and will respect your cookie preferences. 4. Data and AI Use Data collected through cookies and browser storage may help Island AI improve product functionality, recommendations, search, personalization, and aggregated analytics. Where applicable, usage data may support the Island AI Matching Engine and other AI-assisted features. This is used to improve relevance, product performance, and user experience. We handle data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. We do not sell, trade, or share personal data with third parties without a valid legal basis or your consent where required. 5. Managing Your Choices You can accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or manage optional categories individually. Necessary cookies and storage cannot be disabled through Island AI’s cookie preferences because they are required for sign-in, security, and private features. You can change your cookie preferences at any time from your account settings. You can also disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling necessary cookies or browser storage may prevent some Island AI features from working correctly. 6. Your Rights

  • Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you may have the right to:
  • Request access to personal data collected about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Request deletion of personal data where applicable.
